What is Atopic Dermatitis or Eczema?
Atopic Dermatitis is a skin condition that causes redness and itching. It tends to be chronic, though can have episodic flares. It can be accompanied by Asthma and/or hay fever. Atopic dermatitis is sometimes referred to as ‘eczema.’ Technically, eczema is a broader term that describes several types of skin irritation.
about the study
The goal of this phase III research study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational oral study medication for itching associated with atopic dermatitis in adults 18 years or older. Half of participants will receive study medication and half will receive placebo, a pill without active ingredients, twice daily. Participants’ involvement will include up to 6 visits over approximately 10-14 weeks.
