Congestive Heart Failure
We are proud to announce we are working closely with our pharmaceutical partners who are finding medicines for the possible treatment for Congestive Heart Failure. Clinical researchers see the first availability of these types of treatments and bring them to their community.
What is Congestive Heart Failure?
Congestive Heart Failure can be caused by coronary artery disease, heart attack, cardiomyopathy, and high blood pressure. Heart failure treatment includes doctor-prescribed exercise, dietary changes, medicines, and (rarely) surgery.
Heart failure does not mean the heart has stopped working. Rather, it means that the heart’s pumping power is weaker than normal. Blood moves through the heart and body at a slower rate, and pressure in the heart increases. As a result, the heart cannot pump enough oxygen and nutrients to meet the body’s needs. The kidneys respond by causing the body to retain fluid (water) and sodium. If fluid builds up in the arms, legs, ankles, feet, lungs, or other organs, the body becomes congested. Congestive Heart Failure is the term used to describe the condition.

A clinical research study tests the safety and efficacy of an investigation medicine or treatment in a population of volunteers. Every medical discovery/breakthrough goes through the clinical trial process, so potential participants like you play a very important role in advancing medicine for present and future generations.
The study drug is an investigation product. You may or may not benefit from the study drug.
Protecting the health and safety of people who take part in clinical trials is the highest priority for clinical researchers. All clinical trials must follow strict federal guidelines on how volunteer must be treated throughout the entire study process.
You have the right to leave a clinical trial at anytime and for any reason. If you decide to leave a trial, talk to your doctor first. You will want to know how leaving the trial may affect your health and what other treatment options may be available.
